Corsair Flash Voyager GT - 16GB Fast Flash Drive

Corsair have announced the Flash Voyager GT, a 16GB USB flash drive that offers data transfer rates up to 4 times faster than standard USB 2.0 drives.

Hand selected NAND flash chips and advanced flash controller technology are utilised to provide the high data transfer rate. Here are some transfer speed figures from Corsair:
20 office files (1.06MB) - 2 seconds
60 pictures (279MB) - 24 seconds
One movie (1.63GB) - 358 seconds
Reasonably good figures but still no where near the 35MB per second speeds offered by the OCZ ATV ultra fast flash drive.

The Flash Voyager GT model provides all of the benefits and features of the Voyager range that include durability from an all rubber housing, water and shock resistant data integrity, TrueCrypt AES 256-bit encryption and a 10 year warranty.

Plug and play functionality is provided for Windows Vista, XP, 2000, ME, Linux 2.4 and later, Mac OS 9x and later.
